793 Controller Software makes it easy to quickly and efficiently configure a FlexTest controller for a wide range of testing applications. In addition to accuracy-enhancing tools such as adaptive control compensation, calculated channels and cascade control, it features an intuitive interface that facilitates easy definition and control of workspaces across stations, as well as project management tools designed to organize data from complex tests spanning multiple stations and operators. 793 software delivers the advantages of FlexTest controls through any one of MTS' industry-renowned application software packages.

MTS Application Software

  • MTS TestSuite Software features a graphical workflow design interface, modifiable applications and a library of templates for efficiently testing materials and components to industry standards or developing custom tests.
  • RPC Software provides advanced simulation control, analysis and information management for accurately reproducing the strains, accelerations and displacements of real world service environments on multi-axial component, subsystem or full-vehicle test rigs.
  • AeroPro Software features a tightly integrated control and data acquisition user interface and advanced control loop optimization tools to streamline test set up, simplify the acquisition of high fidelity data, and accelerate even the most complex, high-channel count structural tests.
  • STEXPro Software features a host of innovative simulation tools and an integrated suite of applications for achieving precise control of complex, multi-channel seismic qualification tests and earthquake simulations.
  • MTS Elastomer Test Software comprises a portfolio of tools for quickly designing specific tests or managing libraries of standardized tests for a full spectrum of elastomer testing.
  • MTS Damper Test Software comprises a portfolio of test creation, run-time and data acquisition, reporting and analysis tools for performing damper performance, durability and quality assurance testing.
  • Multipurpose TestsWare (MPT), the original FlexTest application software, MPT provides the necessary tools to efficiently create and automate any sequence of command generation and data acquisition across a diverse range of testing.

MTS FlexDAC 20 Data Acquisition Systems employ hardware-based clock synchronization with FlexTest digital controllers controllers to yield extremely high data accuracy.

It’s critical to know what load level produces a given strain value, however, any skew between controller and data acquisition systems introduces uncertainty into results. Stitching together data ported from different software applications after-the-fact is one major source of skew and post-test uncertainty. MTS engineers have overcome this problem with a hard sync between MTS FlexDAC 20 data acquisition systems and FlexTest digital controllers, using AeroPro software. Essentially, MTS FlexDAC units employ the same internal clock as FlexTest controllers to generate a truly synchronized control and data acquisition stream. This enables a scan of both at precisely the same clock tick with zero skew between applied load and and acquired data. MTS is the only test solutions provider to offer truly synchronized control and data acquisition.

Series 494 controller hardware is the product of more than forty years of advanced test and simulation development and leadership. MTS' fourth generation of digital controllers, the modular 494 platform features easily upgraded centralized processors and test resource boards and a common set of conditioners, valve drivers and I/O modules. This enables test labs to cost-effectively expand controller capacity and extend the productive life of their investment.
